Originals is an independent editorial publication for adult readers aged 18 and over. We write reference guides about plant growing and the careful handling of harvested botanical material, with a particular interest in the techniques that home growers and small producers have refined over generations.
Our articles cover subjects such as soil and growing media, light and seasonal timing, gentle drying methods, humidity control, and the long-term storage of dried plant material in glass and other inert containers. We also publish pieces on botanical history, plant terminology, and the vocabulary that growers across Britain and Ireland use to describe their work.
Every guide is researched, written and checked by our editorial team. We aim for plain, accurate English and we revise articles when better information becomes available. Where a topic is uncertain or disputed, we say so rather than guess.
Originals is published by Original Wellness LTD, 605 Antrim Road, Newtownabbey, BT36 4RF, United Kingdom. If you spot an error or would like to suggest a subject, please see our contact page. We read every message and correct mistakes promptly.
